Tuesday, October 3, 7p – Sukkot Demokratia – For the past 30+ weeks Israelis have been protesting in support of democracy and in opposition to a government proposed judicial reform. Many members of our local Israeli community have joined similar protests here in Philadelphia. Join us for conversation and learning in the BAI Sukkah featuring Josh Ackerman who has participated in the weekly protests in Tel Aviv and local Israelis who have helped to organize protests here. Join in-person or online via Zoom.

Friday, October 6, 5:30p – Kindergarten Kabbalat Torah ceremony
5:30p –  Gather in social hall for Shabbat songs and storytime (kids ages 0-7 and families)
6:00p –  Potluck dinner
6:30p –  Kindergarten families join main service and receive their mini Torah scroll

Saturday, October 7
9a – Shabbat services with Yizkor (Memorial) service
7p – Rock and Scroll Dance Party. Rock out as we unroll the scroll and celebrate!

Sunday, October 8
9:15a – BAI is joining with Adath Israel for a traditional Simchat Torah morning service.
9:30a – Walk on the Cynwyd Trail with Hazzan Harold. Meet at the old “Trails End Cafe.”
11a – Concluding Service at Adath Israel with Torah Reading and Kiddush.
