Question for Consideration:
How does my judgment and criticism separate me from joy??
I think there is a lot to be said for choosing to be “easily pleased”, a choice once made that can dramatically influence your approach to life. It represents an openness to life that is underpinned by optimism, faith, and love of self and others…a constant stance of non-judgmental curiosity and exploration (hitlamdut) that empowers life-long learningand growth…an openness to seeking and seeing the “good” in people and the world, despite the bounty of bad behavior and evidence to the contrary…an outlook that allows and welcomes the kind of meaningful connection to others from which “joy” flows.
Not easy, perhaps, but definitely worthy of your consideration.
