It’s always a memorable event when there’s music in BAI’s incredible (and sonorous) sanctuary, but the performance by Divahn (Galeet Dardashti’s all-woman Mizrahi/Sephardi ensemble) was sublime.

At the end of a long week, there’s nothing better than sitting down with the family for Shabbat dinner — lighting the candles, saying the prayers, eating some challah and enjoying a good meal.

My favorite vacation is usually the last one, which, in this case, was Mount Rainier and Olympic National Parks — spectacular hikes, picturesque rocky beaches and the absolute fantasyland of the Hoh Rainforest.
