I want to share a song written by Sufjan Stevens, “Chicago”. This glorious version is covered by the female sisterly trio, ‘The Staves’.
The final refrain of the song says over and over, “I’ve made a lot of mistakes.” It’s a mantra we all know too well, and one we confront throughout the next several weeks, if not every day. Something about their soaring harmonies and gentle intonation make the mistakes easier to bare.
