Inclusion & Accessibility
February is Jewish Disability Awareness, Acceptance and Inclusion Month!
As shared on the Jewish Learning Venture website – JDAIM is a unified national initiative during the month of February to raise disability awareness and support efforts to foster inclusion in Jewish communities worldwide.
As a Beth Am Israel community we will be uplifting the voices, experiences, and opportunities for action of and by people with disabilities all throughout this month AND throughout the year!
We have really exciting events planned for our BAI community that will be shared with the community. Additionally, resources for learning and participation locally and nationally will be shared throughout the month too via email and on our BAI website.

Full inclusion and support of each of our members’ needs is our goal.
Our building is fully wheelchair accessible. Materials are available for those who are vision and/or hearing impaired, including braille materials, large magnifying sheets to use with books, large print materials, and hearing aid support. Our staff is happy to answer questions; please call the office for any questions.
Our education program is committed to the inclusion of children with a range of abilities. We are happy to confidentially discuss your concerns and needs. If desired, we will also connect you with congregants sharing similar inclusion needs.
We strive to make our events fully accessible to all. If you require disability accommodation(s) in order to participate in our events, please email the office.
We constantly strive to improve our inclusion and support resources. If your family is in need of support or special accommodations or have any questions, please contact our Inclusion Committee.
