Our Home is Your Home

Welcome to Congregation Beth Am Israel (BAI) – an engaged and inclusive synagogue community pursuing meaning, joy, and pride in Jewish life. Whether you’re seeking community spiritual invigoration or Jewish learning, you are invited to experience the warmth and belonging that make BAI a true home.

The best way to know us is to experience our community: join us for Kabbalat Shabbat (Friday evening) services, a workshop, or even softball — and feel what makes BAI unique.

A Place to Belong

At BAI, belonging feels like coming home. Our community gathers in song, prayer, learning, and acts of kindness — creating joyful, meaningful connections that last a lifetime.

We’re down-to-earth and open-hearted, inclusively welcoming people of all ages, backgrounds, and family structures. We celebrate Jewish life in all its diversity and maintain a heartfelt connection to the people of Israel and the global Jewish community.

Lifelong Jews, seekers, and Interfaith families participate side-by-side in our community. Young families especially love our award-winning* Jewish by Nature educational program — an outdoor-oriented hands-on approach to learning rooted in Torah and Jewish values that brings children and nature together to learn and explore.

What Belonging Looks Like

Being part of BAI means more than membership — it’s joining a community of people who live by Jewish values, care about each other, and work to better the world.

Here, you’ll find:

  • Soulful, musical worship that uplifts and inspires
  • Learning and discussion that spark insight and reflection
  • A welcoming multigenerational community that celebrates together
  • Meaningful opportunities for service and justice work
  • Support and friendship through every stage of life

Membership includes High Holiday tickets, full access to our worship and programs, and participation in the community that sustains BAI year-round.
